GeneratePress is one of my favourite WordPress themes due to the vast amount of customisation options without bloating the WordPress and keeping sites running extremely fast. Even if you run the Pro version of this theme, which includes an even greater amount of settings to dabble with, your site will still run extremely fast when compared to other themes with a similar amount of built-in settings.

Now, that being said, I do think that there is one area where GeneratePress misses a built-in settings area—navigation link. Not that this is a big issue because it can very easily be customised with just a few lines of CSS code, but it would be nice if that feature was also integrated into the GeneratePress Pro package.

Here’s the CSS lines you will need to add to your theme to get the navigation link right:

.page-numbers, a:hover.page-numbers {
	color: #fff;
	background-color: #6ec095;
	border: 1px solid #dee2e6;
	padding: 4px 6px;
	font-size:14px;
	text-transform:uppercase;
}

a.page-numbers, span.dots {
	color: #6ec095;
	background-color: #fff;
}

And if you would like to get your navigation links centered on the page, like I do, also add the code below:

#nav-below {
	text-align:center;
}

So, for as long as GeneratePress does not come with these options built-in, this is a quick solution for this problem. Please, let me know, if that helped you somehow via @rayvellest on Twitter.
